Dies From Injuries Received At Work
Siegfried Brandt, superintendent of the California Wine Association’s plant at Winehaven, died at Hund’s sanitarium early Wednesday morning. Brandt was accidentally hurt at the plant two weeks ago. He was thought to be recovering and Tuesday was removed from Winehaven to Hund’s sanitarium where it was discovered that he was suffering from blood poisoning.
Brandt leaves a widow, Emila and three children, Walter, Herman and Erna. He was a brother of Dr. R. M. H. Brandt, of San Francisco, and a member of the Richmond Lodge of Elks.
The remains are at Sawyer’s Undertaking Parlors where they will be held until arrangements can be made for burial in San Francisco. Brandt was 49 years old and a native of Germany.
