ELEANOR B. FOSTER

Eleanor B. Foster, a longtime Corte Madera resident, died Thursday at home. She was 86.

Mrs. Foster was a native of San Francisco and attended schools there and in Porterville, Tulare County.

She attended Mills College in Oakland.

Mrs. Foster had lived in Corte Madera for about 50 years.

She was an accomplished artist and a member of the Marin Society of Artists.

Mrs. Foster also was a talented pianist who provided musical accompaniment for many fashion shows at the Marin Art and Garden Center and elsewhere in the county.

Her survivors include a son, Fred O. Foster Jr. of Corte Madera and four grandchildren.

Arrangements were being handled by the Neptune Society in San Rafael.

The family prefers memorial contributions to Hospice of Marin.
