OPAL TEETERS
A memorial service for Opal Teeters of Corte Madera will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Valley Memorial Park in Novato.
Mrs. Teeters, a Marin resident since 1945, died Monday in Marin General Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 80.
She was born in Springerton, Ill. In Marin, she was employed for years as a seamstress (sic) the Modern Eve and Singer. She was a member of the Corte Madera Swingers, senior citizen club.
Mrs. Teeters is survived by her husband, Roy, of Corte Madera; two daughters, Shirley Cummesky of Rohnert Park and Arvilla Nielson of Cloverdale; two sisters, Dorothy Harper and Trilbadean Schmidt, both of St. Louis, Mo.; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, including one born today.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the Hospice of Marin.
