Octogenarian Dies
James Atkens Dyer, a retired San Francisco contractor who had resided here for about two years, died in this city Sunday at the advanced age of eighty-four years.
On account of his great age and frequent periods of illness, Mr. Dyer was confined to his residence much of the time during his residence here and was little known. The remains were taken charge of by Dr. F. E. Sawyer and are being held there pending the arrival from Maine of a brother of the deceased.
