Captain F. Lawson Dies

Captain Frederick Lawson, the 96 year old recluse who came to this city a few days ago from Tomales bay looking for his lifelong friend William Pl. Taylor, passed away at the county hospital Monday morning. His last thoughts and words were of Mr. Taylor, who had always been ready to help him in time of need.

Until last week, Captain Lawson lived near Tomales bay. In celebration of his ninety-sixth birthday he ate food which caused him to fall ill. It was then that he came to this place looking for Mr. Taylor.
