MARGARET V. RICKERD
A private ceremonial scattering of ashes at sea will be held by the family of Margaret V. Rickerd of Bolinas.
Mrs. Rickerd died Sunday, Aug. 16, 1987, at Ross General Hospital after a short illness. She was 76.
Mrs. Rickerd was born in Lead, N.D. She lived in Santa Barbara for 30 years before moving to Marin three years ago.
She taught emotionally disturbed children for 16 years at the Devereux Ranch School in Santa Barbara. She also taught at high schools in Wyoming and Montana for 19 years.
Mrs. Rickerd is survived by her husband, M. L. “Rick” Rickerd of Bolinas; a son, Dan Louis Rickerd of San Francisco; a daughter, Sandra Ferne Duffy of Tubac, Ariz.; and two grandsons.
Her family has asked that memorial contributions go to the West Marin Senior Services, Box 791, Point Reyes Station, 94956.

A brief announcement of her death appeared in the Aug. 18 paper which stated that the Neptune Society of San Rafael was in charge of arrangements.
