ANTHONY JAMES BOTTARINI

A Mass of Christian Burial for Anthony James Bottarini, a lifetime resident of Marin , will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Isabella’s Church in San Rafael.

Mr. Bottarini died unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 18, 1987, at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Rafael. He was 66.

Mr. Bottarini was born in San Anselmo and grew up in a house on Mariposa Road in San Rafael.

He celebrated the 50th anniversary of his graduation from St. Raphael’s School in San Rafael last year. He also graduated from San Rafael High School.

Mr. Bottarini worked as a machinist at the Alameda Naval Air Station for 36 years. He retired in 1979.

For the past eight years, he worked as a handyman at St. Isabella’s Parish.

Mr. Bottarini served in Italy as a member of the Army during World War II.

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars post No. 72 in San Rafael, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the Knights of Columbus Counsel No. 1292.

Mr. Bottarini is survived by his wife, Rena Bottarini of San Rafael; two daughters, Christina Reavis of Sonoma and Catherine Bottarini of San Rafael; and a sister, Olivia Bottarini McCarthy of Corte Madera.

Friends may call for visitation until 5 p.m. Thursday at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.

A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday at St. Isabella’s Church.

Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in San Rafael.

The family prefers that memorial donations be sent to the St. Isabella’s School Fund or a favorite charity.
