MARIE FRANCES DRAKE

A memorial service for Marie Frances Drake of San Rafael will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Community Congregation Church in Tiburon. Mrs. Drake, 93, died Thursday at Fifth Avenue Convalescent Hospital in San Rafael after long illness.

She was born in New Jersey and lived in the Washington, D.C., area for many years.

After her husband, Harry Morton Drake, died in 1938, she moved to Connecticut. She was a successful Realtor who specialized in upgrading older homes.

In 1965, she moved to California and made her home in Menlo Park. She was an active volunteer at Little House, a senior citizen center in Menlo Park.

She moved to Marin County about four years ago.

Mrs. Drake enjoyed painting and writing poetry.

She is survived by two sons: Herbert Gardner Drake of Belvedere, and John Ellis Drake of Madison, Conn.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in the Drake family plot of Mount Wallaston Cemetery, Quincy, Mass.
