ORRIN WARREN GRAY
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. next Saturday for Orrin Warren Gray, a former Larkspur mayor and retired lithographer.
Mr. Gray, 75, died Tuesday at home in Ukiah, Mendocino County.
He was a native of South Dakota.
Mr. Gray lived in Marin for 40 years in Novato, Larkspur and Greenbrae before moving to Ukiah about 10 years ago.
He served on the Larkspur City Council from 1952 to 1960 and was mayor from 1955 to 1957.
Mr. Gray worked for many years for Security Lithography Co. in San Francisco.
During his years in Marin, he was a vestry member of Holy Innocents Episcopal Church in Corte Madera.
After his retirement, he was active in the Ukiah Senior Citizens Club, a member of the California Wine Institute and a vestry member of Ukiah’s Episcopal Church.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Gray of Ukiah; a son, Warren Gray of Sacramento; three daughters, Judith Walker of Antioch, Sandi Fahl of Sunnyvale and Katherine Shauwecker of Pittsburg, Contra Costa County; three sisters, Dorothy Frederickson and Orpha Dreger, both of Redwood City, and Irene Sherwood of Arizona; a brother, Rufus Gray of South Dakota; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family prefers contributions to the Ukiah Senior Citizens Club Building Fund, 495 Leslie Street, Ukiah, 95482.
