RAY R. HARDIN

A private funeral was held Monday for Ray R. Hardin, a retired Petaluma real estate agent. Mr. Hardin, 74, died Sunday at Kaiser Hospital in San Rafael after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Hardin was a lifelong Petaluma resident, the fourth generation of his family to live in the city.

After serving in the Army Air Corps during World War II he returned to Petaluma. He owned and operated the Ford Tractor dealership for several years. After selling the business, Mr. Hardin worked in real estate for 20 years. He last worked with Golden Land Realty as a salesman before retiring five years ago.

Mr. Hardin was a member of the Petaluma Golf and Country Club and Sons in Retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie M. Hardin of Petaluma; two daughters, June Silva of Cotati and Carolyn Ryder of San Jose; two brothers, J. Marcus Hardin of Piedmont and J. Chester Hardin of Albany; and three grandchildren.

Inurnment was at Cypress Hill Memorial Park.

The family prefers that contributions go to a favorite charity.
