Kentfield Merchant Dies
Charles J. Witt, one of the prominent business men of Kentfield and a well known resident of the county, died at his home in Kentfield Thursday after a long illness. He retired from active business a few months ago on account of his health. He had been active in political and social affairs of the county and had a great many friends.
Mr. Witt was a native of San Francisco, 39 years of age and leaves a widow, Mrs. Lena Witt, and a son Raymond. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Witt and a brother of Geo. F. and Alfred G. Witt. He was a member of Stanford Parlor, N.S.G.W.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2:30 at the parlors of H. F. Suhr & Co. in San Francisco and interment made in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
