JAMES E. ADAMS

A funeral for James E. Adams of Marin City will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Missionary Baptist Church in Marin City. Mr. Adams, 52, died Friday at Marin General Hospital.

He was born in Louisiana and moved to California 28 years ago. He had lived in Marin City for about eight years.

Mr. Adams was a carpenter. He worked in the maintenance department of Mount Zion Hospital in San Francisco.

He was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Marin City.

He is survived by his wife, Mary C. Adams of Marin City; four daughters, Joyce Adams and Cheryl Adams, both of Brusly, La., and Terrie Adams and Merry K. Adams, both of San Francisco; a son, Myron Adams of San Francisco; his mother, Christina Braxton of Brusly, La.; four brothers, Carlton Gay, Barry Braxton and Kirby Braxton, all of Brusly, La., and Noland Braxton of San Francisco; a sister, Jacqueline Fields of Brusly, La.; five stepdaughters, Melba Thomas, Shiela Thomas, Sylvia Thomas, Helen Thomas and Kimberly Thomas, all of Marin City; four stepsons, Robert Thomas Jr., Roderick Thomas, Randy Thomas, and Terry Thomas all of Marin City.

A quiet hour in his memory will be held at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Marin City from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
