Robert Wasik
Baker
Robert Wasik, a former Corte Madera employee, died May 7. He was 56.
Mr. Wasik was a baker for Safeway in Corte Madera and had worked at several other local bakeries.
Mr. Wasik was born in Chicago, Ill., and lived in Petaluma. He graduated from St. Vincent de Paul High School in 1961.
He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Wasik retired from Safeway in 1998.
He was a member of St. James Catholic Church of Petaluma and the Adobe Lions Club, and was a caregiver for the Hospice of Petaluma.
He is survived by his daughter Deanna Wasik of Granite Bay; sisters Joanne Klemp of Auburn and Diane Ruzicka of Rohnert Park; and brothers Joseph Wasik of Dallas, Texas, Jerome Wasik of Napa, William Wasik of Petaluma and John Wasik of Woodstock, Ga.
His brothers John and James Wasik died earlier.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary, Magnolia Avenue and Keokuk Street in Petaluma. A vigil will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church.
