Pneumonia Fatal To A. C. Sparrowe

Three days after his removal from his home in Ross to Merritt hospital in Oakland, Archibald C. Sparrowe, one of the most popular of the younger social set in Ross Valley, succumbed to pneumonia.

Until the sad news came, his scores of friends held high hopes of his recovery. He was well known both in social and athletic circles. For the past three or four years he had held rank as one of the best ball players in the county and had played here with the San Rafael team many times. He was but 24 years old.

He leaves a young widow, who, until the marriage a little more than a year ago was Miss Martha Clute, daughter of John Clute of Ross.

His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Sparrowe, and he was a brother of Richard, Thomas and Kathryn Sparrowe. The funeral was held in Oakland Monday.
