EDWIN STRAND
A graveside service for Edwin Strand, a 102-year-old Novato man, will be held Friday at the Oddfellows Cemetery in Olympia, Wash. Mr. Strand died Friday at Novato Community Hospital.
He was born in Norway and moved to the United States in 1906. He first made his home in Minnesota and lived in Washington for about 35 years before moving to California about 16 years ago.
Recently he had lived at Hill Road Convalescent Hospital.
Mr. Strand retired 40 years ago as foreman at a plywood plant in Olympia, Wash.
He is survived by a son, Arthur Strand of Novato; one grandson; four great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
