PHILIP ARNONE

A private service for Philip Arnone, a former Corte Madera planning commissioner, has been held. Mr. Arnone, 79, died Friday at Marin General Hospital.

He was born in Missouri. He moved to California in 1924 and to Marin in 1949.

Mr. Arnone, a real estate salesman, worked for Don Timmer Realty for many years. He retired seven years ago.

He also was former member of the Corte Madera Sanitary Board and a past president of the Corte Madera Lions Club.

Mr. Arnone is survived by his wife, Sigrid Arnone of Corte Madera; two sons, Philip L.Arnone of Hawaii and Gary R. Arnone of San Rafael; and four grandchildren.

Inurnment was private.

The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Heart Fund.
