Mrs. Goddard
Mary Goddard of Ross, a resident of Marin County for 60 years, died yesterday at Ross General Hospital following a prolonged illness.
A descendent of California railroad pioneers, her father, the late William Porter, was the first auditor for Southern Pacific. Her husband, the late Edwin N. Goddard was an attorney.
She is survived by a sister, Adelyn Watrous of Ross.
Mrs. Goddard was also an active member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Ross, and the Colonial Dames.
Friends are invited to attend services at the Harry M. Williams Mortuary. Burial will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery, Oakland. The family requests any memorial contributions be sent to the St. John’s Episcopal Church, Ross.
