SOPHIA STEINER
A funeral for Sophia Steiner of Fairfax was Monday at Congregation Rodef Sholom in San Rafael.
Mrs. Steiner died Sunday at St. Francis Hospital in San Francisco after a lengthy illness. She was 74.
The former Sophia Ettlinger had recently celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary with her husband, Milton Steiner of Fairfax.
The Steiners moved to Marin from Southern California six years ago.
Mrs. Steiner was a member of Temple Rodef Sholom and B’nai B’rith.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Steiner is survived by two sons, Theodore Steiner of Fairfax and Daniel Steiner of Fairfax; and four grandchildren.
Burial will take place at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael.
The family prefers memorial gifts to a favorite charity.

A Death Notice in the Oct. 21 paper gives the names of her grandchildren: Michael, Rachel, Rebecca and Alissa. She was the mother-in-law of Sue and Judith Steiner.
