TROY W. AUSTIN
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Church in Santa Venetia for Troy Austin of Sebastopol, a former longtime San Rafael resident and auto service manager.
Mr. Austin died Tuesday at the age of 61.
For many years, he had worked for De Long Chevrolet in San Rafael and Campbell-Bishop Chevrolet in Corte Madera.
He was born in Oklahoma and had lived in San Rafael many years before moving to Sebastopol 20 years ago.
Mr. Austin was past president of the California Endurance Team of Marin County.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Bortfeld Austin; three daughters, Gail Andersen of Weed, Siskiyou County, Jeanne March of Spokane, Wash., Lynn Chadd of Cupertino, Santa Clara County; a son Bruce Austin of Cloverdale; two brothers, Clifford Austin of San Mateo and Hubert Austin of Fair Oaks, Sacramento County; three sisters, Dawn Austin of Beaverton, Ore.. Louise Ott and Peggy Kline, both of Bakersfield; and four grandchildren.
The family prefers memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, Sonoma Unit, 826 St. Helena Ave., Santa Rosa, 95406.
