Ralph De Wall, KTIM Officer Dies At 56

Ralph De Wall, commercial manager of Marin radio station KTIM, died yesterday following a heart attack. He was 56 years old and had been a resident of Novato for the past two years.

He was the father of Mrs. Juanita Turner, wife of KTIM manager Hugh Turner. He is also survived by his widow, Lillian, of Novato, and a daughter in Michigan as well as two sisters in Oregon.

Before coming to Marin, De Wall had been employed for many years in the lumber industry in Oregon and once served as an officer in a lumber workers’ union.

He was a director of Redwood Empire association, representing KTIM in that organization.

He first suffered a heart attack about midnight Sunday and was removed to a hospital early Monday morning. He succumbed about 6:15 p.m. yesterday.

Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Harry M. Williams mortuary in San Rafael.
