DOROTHY L. MEAD
A Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy L. Mead, a longtime Nicasio resident, was to be said this morning in St. Vincent de Paul Church in Petaluma.
Mrs. Mead died Friday at Novato Community Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 61.
She was born in Petaluma and was a member of the Dolcini and Rosselli families, early settlers in the area.
Mrs. Mead was a graduate of the old Pacheco School and St. Vincent High School in Petaluma. She had been associated with the family dairy in Nicasio all her life.
Mrs. Mead had been a partner in the dairy with her brother, Calvin Dolcini, since 1960.
She is survived by her husband, Carl E. Mead Jr. of Nicasio; two stepsons, Carl E. Mead III and Timothy S. Mead; a brother, Calvin Dolcini of Nicasio; and a granddaughter.
Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Petaluma.
The family prefers that contributions be made to the Northern California Diabetes Association, 255 Hugo St., San Francisco, 94122.
