MARIA JOHNSON
A funeral for Maria Johnson of Greenbrae was to be held at 1 p.m. today at the Mount Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael. Mrs. Johnson died Wednesday at the age of 93.
She was a native of St. Francisville, La., and was helpful in founding the St. Peter’s Baptist Church in St. Francisville until she came to California in 1977.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by a daughter, Winnie Louise Page, a foster daughter, 13 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. She was the widow of John Johnson.
Burial will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael.
Her family prefers memorial contributions to the St. Andrew Presbyterian Church Building Fund in Marin City or to a favorite charity.
