ERNEST H. CORDA
A Mass of Christian Burial for Ernest H. Corda of Petaluma, a dairyman, will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Vincent de Paul Church in Petaluma.
Mr. Corda died Saturday in a tractor accident at his parents ranch on Chileno Valley Road. He was 58.
A lifelong resident of the Petaluma area, he was a long-time dairyman.
Mr. Corda was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Church, Nicasio parlor of the Native Sons of the Golden West, Petaluma Elks Lodge, Novato Moose Lodge, Co-op Creamery, Western United Dairymen, Corda Gun Club and San Antonio Gun Club.
Mr. Corda was an avid hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie Maffia Corda of Petaluma; two daughters, Carol Siebe of Petaluma and Nancy Martin of Windsor; two sons, Hank Corda of Petaluma and David Corda of Petaluma; his parents, Henry and Edna Corda of Petaluma; two sisters, Esther Moreda and Eleanor Avilla, both of Petaluma; and six grandchildren.
The rosary will be recited today at 7 p.m. at the St. Vincent de Paul Church. Officers and members of the Nicasio parlor of the Native Sons of the Golden West and the Petaluma Elks Lodge conduct their ritual tonight at the church. Friends may visit the Parent-Sorenson Mortuary in Petaluma today until 5 p.m.
The family prefers contributions to a favorite charity or to the Future Farmers of America Memorial Fund, c/o Petaluma High School.
