Rev. Smith Dies In Foreign Land
Word was received here yesterday by Miss L. P. Trumbull of the death in Fatehpur, India, of her brother-in-law, Rev. Ray C. Smith, who has been engaged in missionary work there since 1900. Death followed an attack of Asiatic Cholera from which he was ill but a few days.
Rev. Smith is survived by his widow, Mrs. Jean Trumbull Smith and four children, two sons, Trumbull and Caldwell Smith, who are attending the Mount Tamalpais Military, and two daughters, who are with their mother in India. It is presumed by Miss Trumbull, in the absence of any word to the contrary, that as soon as her affairs can be satisfactorily arranged in Fatehpur, the bereaved widow will return to her old home in San Rafael. Rev. Smith was of the Presbyterian church.
