Last Thursday Novato lost one of her finest women when death called Mrs. E. J. Frisbie. She has lived in this community for a number of years and was well liked by all. The death was very sudden and a great shock to her family, friends and neighbors. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to Mr. Frisbie and little Dorothy.

Girl Finds Mother After Sudden Death

Funeral services were held Monday at Novato for Mrs. Grace A. Frisbie who died suddenly at her home there of heart trouble Wednesday of last week.

A pathetic incident in connection of the woman was the fact that her daughter, Dorothy, aged 10 years, who was at home when her mother passed away, did not know that death had occurred until the next day.

Believing that her mother had dropped to sleep on the couch, the little girl refrained from awakening her at supper time and prepared her own meal. Seeing her mother still apparently in slumber, the child retired. In the morning on finding her mother in the same position, she became alarmed and went to the house of a neighbor, who accompanied the girl to her home and found Mrs. Frisbie dead.

The deceased was the wife of Edward J. Frisbie, a rancher, who had resided in Novato about 6 years. She was 49 years of age and a native of Canada. The funeral services were held under the direction of the F. E. Sawyer Company.
