Young Man Dies At Novato

Last Thursday afternoon Harold G. Cockeram, a young Englishman but twenty two years of age, died at the Novato Sanitarium following an operation for appendicitis. His body is held at the undertaking parlors of Dr. F. E. Sawyer awaiting instructions from his family in England.

Young Cockeram came to this county from Seattle. While making the trip down on a steamer he lost his savings. Arriving in this county he made his way to Novato where he entered the employ of Dr. C. H. Thompson, a retired physician. Shortly afterwards he was stricken with appendicitis. Dr. Thompson gave him treatment but found the case of so serious a nature that an operation was necessary. An operation was performed by specialists, but the young man passed away.
