MARGARET A. WOODWARD
Margaret A. Woodward of Novato, a homemaker and one of the founders of the Marin County Diabetes Association, died yesterday at her home after a six-month illness. She was 44.
Mrs. Woodward was born in Hawaii and moved to California with her family 37 years ago. She resided in San Francisco before coming to Marin in 11963.
She was one of three persons who started the local chapter of the diabetes organization in 1971.
Mrs. Woodward also was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association, Unit 48, of San Francisco and the ladies Auxiliary of the San Rafael Yacht Club.
Her husband, Richard E. Woodward, is ferry maintenance foreman for the Golden Gate Bridge District.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Woodward is survived by a son, Walter L. Woodward of San Rafael, and her father, Antone Henriques of San Francisco.
Her funeral will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin in Novato. Burial will be in Golden Gate National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to the Marin County Diabetes Association would be preferred by the family.
