FRANK D. TANFORAN
Frank D. Tanforan, 66, of Petaluma, a retired operating engineer, died Wednesday at his home after a short illness.
Tanforan had been an operating engineer for more than 40 years and last worked for Siri Construction Co. in Santa Rosa.
He was a native of San Rafael who moved to Petaluma about 25 years ago.
Tanforan was a member of the operating engineers union, Local 3 in Santa Rosa.
Surviving are his wife, Charlotte A. Tanforan of Petaluma; two sons, Harold Tanforan of Foster City and Frank D. Tanforan Jr. of Sacramento; four daughters, Carol Bridgeman of Reno, Nev., Alice Rapp of Petaluma, Patti Ott of Manhattan Beach, Los Angeles County and Patricia Youngs of Mount Shasta; and 11 grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Parent Funeral Chapel, Petaluma. The rosary will be recited at 8 tonight at the chapel. The family prefers that memorial contributions be made to St. Vincent’s schools in Petaluma, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma. 94952. Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Petaluma.
