GERTRUDE E. HUGHES
A funeral Mass for Gertrude E. Hughes of Mill Valley will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Brigid’s Church, San Francisco.
Miss Hughes died Wednesday in a local retirement home. She had lived in Marin for three years, after a career of almost 60 years in nursing in San Francisco. She was a member of the Our Lady Sodality of St. Brigid’s Church.
She was born in New York.
She is survived by a sister, Mary J. Hughes of Santa Barbara.
The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today in the Halsted and Co. funeral chapel in San Francisco. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
