ROBERT SWEENEY
Requiem Mass for Robert P. Sweeney of Mill Valley will be offered at 9 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Mill Valley.
Sweeney, 64, of 118 Almonte Boulevard, died Sunday at a local hospital after an illness. He was retired after 45 years with the Southern Pacific Railroad, his last position as assistant engineer of appropriations. He was a native of San Francisco.
He is survived by his wife, Winnifred B. Sweeney of Mill Valley; a sister, Mrs. (sic) Jean Sweeney of Newark, Alameda County, and two brothers, Harry Sweeney of Newark and Frank Sweeney of Alameda.
The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday at Russell and Gooch Funeral Chapel, Mill Valley. Burial will be at Sierra View Cemetery, Marysville, Yuba County.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was the uncle of George Sweeney and Mrs. Betty Rose.
