George W. Averill of Sausalito Dies

George W. Averill, a resident of Marin county for 51 years who has lived for the last 14 years in Sausalito, died yesterday at a local hospital. He was 82 years old.

Survivors are his wife, Louise M. Averill, son George Harold Averill, brother William Averill. He was brother of the late Charles Brerton, stepfather of eight children and uncle of George and John Brerton of Sacramento.

An employee of Northwestern Pacific railroad, Averill was a native of San Francisco. He was a member of Muir Lodge, K of P, Sausalito and Railways Employees association.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral Wednesday, July 2, 1952, at 2 p.m. at the Frank J. Keaton mortuary, Sausalito. Interment, Mt. Tamalpais cemetery.

FUNERAL RITES FOR GEORGE W. AVERILL

Funeral services were held at the Frank J. Keaton Mortuary yesterday for George W. Averill, a 14-year resident of Sausalito, who died last Sunday at the age of 82.

A native of San Francisco, Averill had lived in Marin county for 51 years. He was an employee of Northwestern Pacific Railroad, and a member of Muir Lodge, Knights of Pythias, and the Railways Employees Association.

Surviving are his widow, Louise M. Averill; a son, George, and a brother William.

Interment was at Mt. Tamalpais cemetery.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral Wednesday, July 2, 1952, at 2 p.m. at the Frank J. Keaton mortuary, Sausalito. Interment, Mt. Tampalpais cemetery.
