Last Rites Saturday For Jas. G. Saxton, Retired Railroader
The funeral of James G. Saxton of Sausalito was attended last Saturday afternoon by a large number of friends, relatives and associates of the deceased railroad man, who died last Thursday night.
Services were held from the George Larson Mortuary, Sausalito, under auspices of Mill Valley Lodge No. 356, F. & A. M., with interment at Olivet Memorial Park.
Mr. Saxton had been ill for a long time and his death was not unexpected. Twenty-five years ago he retired as a railroad man after 40 years in the service.
He leaves his wife, three sons and two daughters: Stanley Saxton, Mill Valley city treasurer; J. G. Saxton Jr., Denver; Albert Saxton, Stockton; Mrs. Emil Puharich, Sausalito; Mrs. Ruth Satmary, Sausalito. He also leaves eleven grandchildren.
Mrs. Saxton was a native of Chatham, England, but came to the Pacific Coast when a boy. He was a member of the King Solomon Lodge No. 200, F. & A. M., San Francisco.
