LILLIAN LUFRANO

Lillian Lufrano, longtime Fairfax resident, died Monday in a local hospital after a short illness. She was 69.

Mrs. Lufrano was born in San Francisco and lived there and in Healdsburg before moving to Marin County in 1954.

She was the wife of Baptiste “Red” Lufrano, who survives.

Also surviving are her son, Melvin J. Lufrano of Fairfax and her sister, Betty Gentili of Danville.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of the Hills in San Anselmo. Entombment will be private.

The family prefers memorial contributions to a favorite charity.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that she was the aunt of Roy DeMartini of Sparks, Nev.

A corrected obit appeared in the April 2nd paper; the date of the service should have read Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Chapel of the Hills.
