HERMAN R. ROHRS
Herman R. Rohrs of San Anselmo, a retired San Francisco fireman and Marin resident for the past eight years, died Tuesday at a local hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 74.
Rohrs was born in San Francisco and lived there until about 1972 when he moved to San Anselmo.
He was a fireman with the San Francisco Fire Department for 32 years. He retired several years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Martha C. Rohrs of San Anselmo; two sons, Martin R. Rohrs and James S. Rohrs, both of Novato; two daughters, Susan A. Brandborg of Fairfax and Claire R. Taylor of San Anselmo; 17 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 72 Kensington Road, San Anselmo.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the St. Francis Hospital Burn Center, San Francisco.
