VERNE PESSNER

Private funeral for Verne Curtis Pessner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh O. Pessner of Greenbrae, has been held in Sepulveda, Los Angeles County.

Pessner, 29, died Thursday in the Sepulveda Veterans Administration Hospital after a long illness.

He was a native of Marin County. He attended Greenbrae Elementary School, Adaline E. Kent Middle School, Redwood High School and the College of Marin. He served in the Air Force in Europe for four years in photographic analysis.

After leaving the Air Force, he moved to Glendale in Los Angeles County, where he had a neon sign business.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Sandra Gale Pessner of the family home and a brother, Kirk Alan Pessner of Washington, D.C.

Inurnment was at the Sepulveda Veterans Administration Hospital cemetery.

Memorial contribution to the International Association of Cancer Victims and Friends, Marin Chapter, would be preferred by the family.
