RODNEY W. PERRIGO
Rodney W. Perrigo, a longtime Petaluma resident, died Tuesday at his home after a long illness. He was 68.
Perrigo moved to Petaluma from Ohio in 1955 and worked nearly 18 years for the Petaluma Argus-Courier. He retired in 1973.
Perrigo joined the newspaper staff in 1957 in the circulation department and went on to sell display advertising. He was also a musician and played in many local groups.
He was born in Rehoboth, Ohio, and reared in Zanesville.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Perrigo of Petaluma; a daughter, Joan Stewart of San Jose; two sisters, Rosella Penn and Pearl Stiner, both of Petaluma; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A private funeral was held today, with inurnment in Cypress Hill Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to the Hillcrest Hospital Auxiliary.
