JAMES M. FLETCHER
At his request, no funeral was held for James M. Fletcher, a former San Rafael attorney.
Fletcher died March 5 in the Placer County town of Loomis, where he had recently moved from Novato. He was 67.
A native of Colorado, Fletcher had lived in Marin County for almost 30 years. He was a partner in the law firm of Kennedy, Bloom, Fletcher and Kaufman since 1952, retiring recently.
Fletcher received his law degree from Harvard Law School in 1951.
During his years in Marin, Fletcher served as chairman of the Marin County Parks and Recreation Committee and the Marin County Small Craft Harbors Committee. He was a charter member of the Marin Committee for a Civic Center.
Fletcher served in the Naval Reserve from 1931 to 1941 and in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945, stationed in North Africa and Italy.
He is survived by his wife, Marion, of Loomis; two daughters, Linda Nelson, also of Loomis, and Myrle Gunderson of Bakersfield; and a son, Harold Ehrlich of Lewisburg, Ohio.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
