Marie Poppe
Longtime Marin resident

Marie Poppe, 88, of Forest Knolls, died Friday, Feb. 23, 1990 at a Kentfield convalescent home.

She was a native of Nibe, Denmark. She had lived in Marin County for 38 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, San Rafael First Ward.

Mrs. Poppe was married to Dion Poppe, who died earlier. She is survived by two sons, James D. Poppe of Forest Knolls and Paul W. Poppe of Sacramento; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Another son, Richard D. Poppe, died earlier.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in San Rafael.

Burial will be in Mount Tamalpais Cemetery.

The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, Marin County Unit.
