Funeral Ceremonies of Alex McKinnon
May 20, Alexander McKinnon passed away at his home in this city, after a short sickness. He was the husband of Mary McKinnon and father of Rev. W. D. and B. J. McKinnon and Sister Bernadette, Mary E. and John F. McKinnon, and Mrs. George Younge. Deceased was a native of Prince Edward Island, aged 79 years.
The funeral services took place at the residence and at St. Raphael’s church. A solemn requiem mass was celebrated for the repose of his soul. The ceremonies commenced at 9:30 a.m. at the home of the deceased and were continued at the church where special music was rendered by a choir from San Francisco. A large number of friends and relatives were in attendance to do their last honors to the dead. The body was taken to St. Mary’s cemetery at Oakland for interment.
