FLORENCE SZAKAL
Greenbrae resident
Florence Szakal died at the Guardian of Greenbrae convalescent home Tuesday, She was 87.
Mrs. Szakal was born in Roanoke, Ala. and moved to San Francisco in 1938. She worked at the Richmond Shipyard.
During World War II she worked as a Red Cross ambulance driver. She belonged to the Eastern Star and volunteered at Laguna Honda Home and Holt International Childrens Services.
She is survived by her husband, Julius Szakal of Greenbrae; a daughter, Wanda Peacock of Lake County; a son, Robert Szakal of Mill Valley; three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
Services will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions are preferred to Holt International Childrens Services, P.O. Box 2880, Eugene, Ore. 97402.
