HERMAN F. BUETTNER
The funeral service for Herman F. “Ken” Buettner of San Rafael, a retired bus driver, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on North San Pedro Road in Santa Venetia.
Buettner, 69, died expectedly at his home Tuesday.
He retired as a bus driver in 1970 and was a member of Greyhound Transit Union.
Beuttner was a native of Iowa and had been a longtime resident of Marin.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia B. Buettner of San Rafael; five daughters, Shirley Turner of Charlotte, N.C., Pauline Brown, Barbara and Marilyn Buettner, all of San Rafael, and Linda Buettner; and three brothers, Jack Buettner of Sacramento, Walter Mollers of Santa Rosa and Claude Buettner.
Burial will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.

Herman Frederick “Ken” Buettner was the uncle of Vincent Buettner.

A second obituary was published on Feb. 22. It states that he was a native of San Francisco and longtime resident of Marin County. It also corrects some names to Marilyn Miller and Linda Miller (not Buettner).
