SANFORD R. GOODMAN

Sanford R. Goodman of Kentfield died today. Funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Sinai Memorial Chapel in San Francisco.

SANFORD R. GOODMAN

The funeral for Sanford R.”Sandy” Goodman of Kentfield, longtime clothing manufacturer’s representative, was held today at Sinai Memorial Chapel in San Francisco.

Goodman, 48, died Thursday at Marin General Hospital after an illness of several months.

He was born and reared in Pittsburgh, Pa., and lived in San Francisco for a time before moving to Marin more than 10 years ago.

During his years in Marin he was very active in local Jewish affairs, especially youth activities. He was a member of Congregation Rodef Sholom, the Marin Jewish Community Center and the Jewish Welfare Foundation.

He worked for 23 years for Campus Sportswear as a manufacturer’s representative.

Surviving are his wife, Gail S. Goodman, and three daughters, Melissa, Tama and Jessica Goodman, all of the family home; his mother, Dora Goodman of Florida, and his brother, Mark S. Goodman of San Rafael.

The family prefers memorial contributions to the Sandy Goodman Youth Fund, in care of Congregation Rodef Sholom.

Burial was at Hills of Eternity Memorial Park, Colma.
