JOSEPH BUTLER
Joseph D. Butler, operator of a Sebastopol guest home, died Saturday at his home after a brief illness. He was 56 years old.
His survivors include two sisters, Grace Maddus and Patricia Butler, and a brother, Leo Butler, all of San Rafael.
He was a native of Butte, Mont. He had worked for 20 years for the Bank of San Francisco. He was a member of the Sebastopol Optimist Club and San Francisco Post No. 1 of the American Legion.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy as a storekeeper third class.
He also leaves his wife, Gladys Butler of Sebastopol; a daughter, Sandra Jo Balnk (sic) of Santa Rosa, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Analy Funeral Chapel, Sebastopol. Sebastopol Post No. 39 of the American Legion will officiate.
Burial will be at Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, at 2:45 p.m. tomorrow.

A Death Notice in the same paper gives the daughter’s name as Blank and the sister’s name as Maddux.
