Boy Drowned in Lagoon at Stinson

Despite the efforts of friends to save him and efforts of Coast Guardsmen to revive him, Robert WEEKS, 15, of Stinson Beach, was drowned last Tuesday afternoon while swimming at the lagoon at Stinson Beach.

WEEKS was swimming with Berton O'Gorman, 14, when he called out that he was not able to get back to the raft in the lagoon. O'Gorman went to his aid and helped bring him to land. Although men from the Stinson Beach and Bolinas Coast Guard Stations worked over him until 7 o'clock in the evening, they were unable to revive him.

The youth had arrived from his home in Des Moines, IA, only a week ago to make his home with his sister, Miss Ruth WEEKS, a Marinship employee. He is survived by his parents and 11 brothers and sisters who live in Des Moines.
