FANNIE YANOFF
Fannie Yanoff, the mother of Bea Katz and Jack Yanoff, both of San Rafael, died Monday at Mount Zion Hospital in San Francisco. She was 85.
She was a native of Russia and emigrated to the United States during the 1920s.
She moved to San Francisco in 1937 and worked in a grocer store and delicatessen for many years.
She was a member of the Montefiore Senior Citizens Center in San Francisco.
Her survivors include two sons, Sidney Yanoff of San Francisco and Jack Yanoff of San Rafael; three daughters, Pauline Fischer of San Mateo, Ruth Yanoff of Daly City and Bea Katz of San Rafael; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sinai Memorial Chapel in San Francisco.
The family prefers memorial donations to the Montefiore Senior Citizens Center.
