Kella E. Lester
A funeral for Kella E. Lester of San Rafael, a Marin resident for more than 30 years, will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery.
Lester died Saturday at a local hospital from injuries suffered last month in an auto accident. He was 69.
Lester was a native of Virginia and moved to Marin in 1945. He was a member of the Air Corps during World War II and later of the Air Force. He spent 27 years in the armed services, retiring as a master sergeant. He also worked for five years as a civilian employee of the Air Force. He was stationed at Hamilton and Travis Air Force bases during his military career.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Tamalpais Post No. 72.
He is survived by eight sisters and two brothers.
Visitation is today from noon to 9 p.m. at Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael. Burial is at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery.

A death notice in the same paper adds that he was the husband of the late Edna Lester.
