Charles E. Nowell (Ed)
Ed Nowell died at Marin General Hospital after a short illness on June 4, 2002. He leaves a son, Thomas, a daughter-in-law, Cary Mathews Nowell, and two grandchildren, Peter and Abigail and many good friends. In 1948 he married Helene Richardson. They moved to San Francisco and later to Marin County. In 1962 they started NOWELL'S INC. in Sausalito which specialized in antique light fixtures and repairs. The business soon became a West Coast pioneer of high quality Victorian restorations and reproductions. Ed will be remembered by friends and family for his infectious smile and indomitable spirit. Memorial Services have been held. Donations may be sent to Integrated Community Services, 3020 Kerner Blvd. San Rafael, 94901, or to a preferred charity.
