DAVID WALTER CONARD
Former Woodacre resident
Services will be held next week for David Walter Conard. He died Monday at home in Cotati of cancer. He was 54.
He was a native of Pueblo, Colo., and was raised in Woodacre, living in Marin County for 34 years.
He owned Conard Construction Co. and developed a nature education curriculum at the University of California at Berkeley, where he earned a master’s degree.
He enjoyed wilderness photography in the United States and Africa.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Flanagan Conard of Cotati; parents, Walter and Carrie Conard of Middletown, Lake County; a brother, Richard Conard of San Anselmo; two daughters, Chloe Cook of Chico and Ingrid O’Donoghue of Chico; and a son, Chris Conard of Sacramento.
A farewell service will be held at 1 p.m. Feb. 26 in Cotati.
Donations may be made to the conservation foundation of the donor’s choice.
Arrangements were by the Neptune Society of Sonoma County.
