LORRAINE PENNINGTON
Lorraine “Penni” Pennington, a 45-year resident of Santa Venetia, died Wednesday, July 13, 1988 at Kaiser Hospital in Terra Linda following a brief illness. She was 74.
She was a native of Iowa.
She moved to California at an early age, and came to Marin in 1943. She worked at the former Hamilton Air Force Base as a secretary, retiring in 1975.
She then took up painting.
Mrs. Pennington is survived by her husband of more than 50 years, Frank L. Pennington of San Rafael; a daughter, Dianne Pennington of Novato; and a son, Damon Pennington of Hollywood; and two sisters, Lois Dominy of Cloverdale and Bette Carpenter of Santa Ana.
Friends may call for visitation Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Russell & Gooch Funeral Chapel, Mill Valley.
At Mrs. Pennington’s request, no service will be held.
The family prefers memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society.
