Victoria Schweighofer
Victoria M. Schweighofer of San Rafael, former grand regent of the St. Raphael Court of the Catholic Daughters of America, died today in a local hospital after a long illness. She was 71,
Mrs. Schweighofer was a native of Oelwein, Iowa. She had lived in California and Marin for 33 years, residing at 28 Redding Way.
She served as grand regent for the Catholic Daughters in 1967 and 1968 and also was a past president and member of the Eagles Auxiliary of San Rafael.
Her husband, Andrew B. Schweighofer, is a retired carpenter.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Schweighofer is survived by three children, Mary Ann Gehres of Merced, Judith Mary Brunner of San Rafael, and Thomas Schweighofer of Solana Beach, San Diego County. She also is survived by six sisters, two brothers and 11 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Raphael’s Church. Entombment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday at Williams and Heffernan Mortuary, San Rafael.
The family prefers memorial contributions to St. Raphael’s School or St. Vincent School for Boys in Marinwood.
